From 12 till 16 august 2013 TAPAS memebers Reninka Dekoker and Veerle Devocht were giving the second module of our course at UPOLI university in Esteli Nicargua.
It was a very good experience both for teachers and students.
Topics were: International Classification of Functioning (ICF) and Community based Rehabilitation (CBR).
A diversity of students was attending the whole second module. Two people with functional limitations were integrated as an expert in the course. The students did also some professional visits connected to the course theme.
We are looking out to give the third module about Sensory Integration therapy and Neurological treatment methods.

De tocht bedraagt 5 of 10 km en loopt langs de oever van de Wingebeek, langs de wijngaarden op de flank van de Houwaartseberg met prachtig uitzicht over de vallei van de Motte, Houwaart en het Walenbos. Eén van de belangrijkste natuurgebieden van het Hageland.
Tussenin zijn drie stopplaatsen voorzien met een verrassing!!!
De aard van de weg is onverhard (veld- en boswegen) en licht glooiend. De tocht is geschikt voor gezinnen met kinderen (zonder kinderwagen). Uiteraard kunnen ook teams of groepen meedoen!
Vertrek: Tussen 13.30u en 14.30u aan de St. Dernijskerk, Halderstraat te Houwaart. (GPS-coördinaten N 50.933990° E 4.860173°)
Een deelname- of sponorkaart kost 5 euro.
Kinderen tot 12 jaar: 2 euro.

Ongoing course at UPOLI – Esteli Nicaragua
This week Reninka Dekoker and Veerle Devocht are going on with the second mudule of our course at UPOLI university in Esteli-Nicaragua.

BUSO Terbank gaat op werktraining naar Jaszkotle in Polen: 12 to 18 mei 2013
Ook dit jaar ging BUSO Terbank naar De instelling in Jaszkotle in Polen om er wat klusjes te doen in het kader van de werktraining en vorming die ze geven aan hun leerlingen.
Het werd weer een onvergetelijke ervaring zowel voor leerkrachten als leerlingen waarvoor TAPAS dankt.

Visit of Ivania Mercedes Videa
Lic. Ivania Mercedes Videa (head of nursery education at UPOLI universidad Esteli-Nicaragua) was invited by TAPAS association to visit a variety of institutions, hospitals and projects in Belgium.
TAPAS Belgium was offering her some housing and an interesting programm.
She also had the opportunity to visit Barcelona and London during her stay in Europe.
We hope she can use her impressions during her further professional and personal life in Esteli-Nicaragua.
We all enjoyed her staying here.

El viernes 19 Ivania de UPOLI visitó la Hogeschool-Universiteit Brussel.

Luc Vercruysse y Evelien De wachter facilitaron el primer modulo del curso ‘Introducción en la terapia ocupacional’ del 8 hasta el 12 de abril 2013 en la universidad UPOLI en Estelí, Nicaragua.
Veerle De Vocht ayudo mucho con la traducción. Los estudiantes estaban muy entusiasmados y dieron unos aportes valiosos. En agosto Reninka De Koker y Veerle De Vocht facilitarán el Segundo módulo.

Van 8 tot 12 april 2013 gaven Luc Vercruysse en Evelien De wachter de eerste module van de opleiding ‘Introductie in de ergotherapie’ in de universiteit UPOLI te Estelí, Nicaragua. Ze kregen ondersteuning van Veerle De Vocht. De studenten waren enthousiast en kijken uit naar het vervolg!
In augustus zullen Reninka De Koker en Veerle De Vocht met dezelfde groep studenten module II begeleiden.
The first part of the course ‘Introduction in occupational therapy’ was given by Luc Vercruysse and Evelien De wachter from 8 till 12 of april in the university UPOLI in Estelí, Nicaragua. Veerle De Vocht helped with the traduction. The students were very happy and are looking forward to the next course.
In Agost Reninka De Koker, together with Veerle De Vocht, will continue the course with the same group of students.
Experiencia e ilusión

“En cuanto al lugar dónde transcurre la acción, se trata de Polonia. Es decir, de ningún sitio”, escribió Alfred Jarry en el prólogo de Ubú Rey. “Ningún sitio” es pues, el país tan cercano y tan desconocido donde se desarrolla esta increíble experiencia que nos gustaría compartir.
Todo comenzó cuando el Terapeuta Ocupacional belga, Luc Vercruysse, nos dió a conocer un proyecto de cooperación internacional que sus estudiantes estaban llevando a cabo en un centro infantil en Klenica, Polonia. En aquel momento, Luc estaba tratando de establecer colaboración con otra institución, de la que propusimos ser los pioneros. A partir de aquí empezaba un viaje de tres semanas con destino Jaszkotle, un pueblecito situado a 10 km de Wroclaw, al suroeste de Polonia.
En el aeropuerto nos esperaban dos de las hermanas que forman parte de la congregación María Inmaculada, que se encargan de proporcionar un hogar a los niños de Jaszkotle.
