In het najaar van 2020 werd ik, desondanks de aanslepende coronacrisis, met open armen ontvangen in een opvangcentrum van fedasil : Het Klein Kasteeltje. Als ergotherapeute werd ik gevraagd een kortstondig project uit te werken voor de minderjarigen (tussen 6 en 12 jaar). Het Klein Kasteeltje is een aanmeldcentrum voor vluchtelingen gelegen in Brussel. Sommige van deze kinderen verblijven sinds korte tijd in Belgi\u00eb en hebben vaak een traumatische reis\/ verleden achter de rug. Ik wou hen daarom graag de kans aanreiken om even te ontsnappen aan deze realiteit met dagelijkse bekommeringen. Tegelijkertijd wou ik hen ook de mogelijkheid bieden om deze zorgen juist te delen om het eventueel zo een plaats te kunnen geven. Dit deed ik niet met woorden maar met materialen en beelden. Ze konden zichzelf verbergen of zich juist zichtbaar maken aan de buitenwereld. Ieder kind ging op zijn eigen manier om met dit project. Dit was voor mij, als student, een erg bijzondere en leerrijke ervaring waarbij ik de glimlach op de gezichten van de kinderen nooit zal vergeten.<\/p>\n

In the autumn of 2020, despite the ongoing coronary crisis, I was welcomed with open arms in a fedasil shelter : Het Klein Kasteeltje. As an ergo-therapist, I was asked to work out a short project for minors (between 6 and 12 years old). Het Klein Kasteeltje is an application center for refugees located in Brussels. Some of these children have been staying in Belgium for a short time and have often had a traumatic journey\/past. I would therefore like to give them the opportunity to escape from this reality with daily concerns. At the same time, I also wanted to give them the opportunity to share these worries in order to be able to give it a place. I did not do this with words but with materials and images. They could hide themselves or make themselves visible to the outside world. Every child dealt with this project in its own way. This was for me, as a student, a very special and instructive experience where I will never forget the smiles on the faces of the children.<\/p>\n

En el oto\u00f1o de 2020, a pesar de la continua crisis coronaria, fui recibido con los brazos abiertos en un centro de recepci\u00f3n de fedasil: Het Klein Kasteeltje. Como ergo-terapeuta, me pidieron que elaborara un breve proyecto para menores (entre 6 y 12 a\u00f1os). Het Klein Kasteeltje es un centro de solicitud para refugiados situado en Bruselas. Algunos de estos ni\u00f1os han permanecido en B\u00e9lgica durante un corto tiempo y a menudo han tenido un viaje traum\u00e1tico. Por lo tanto, me gustar\u00eda darles la oportunidad de escapar de esta realidad con las preocupaciones diarias. Al mismo tiempo, tambi\u00e9n quer\u00eda darles la oportunidad de compartir estas preocupaciones para poder darle un lugar. No lo hice con palabras, sino con materiales e im\u00e1genes. Podr\u00edan esconderse o hacerse visibles al mundo exterior. Cada ni\u00f1o se ocup\u00f3 de este proyecto a su manera. Esto fue para m\u00ed, como estudiante, una experiencia muy especial e instructiva en la que nunca olvidar\u00e9 las sonrisas en las caras de los ni\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
